"At its core, consulting is all about being adaptable. Since each project introduces unique challenges, we need to quickly adapt to our surroundings so we can add value as soon as possible. I love to work in this fast paced environment because there's always something new to learn."
Justin Kolpak
"As CX consultants, we help our clients bridge the disconnect with their customers so that they can operate at their peak performance. Sometimes that’s uncovering customer insights, innovating new ways to meet customer expectations, or designing products to increase customer satisfaction. The common denominator in all this is that what we do is customer-centric."
Francesca Gables
"Whenever friends or family ask me what I do, I tell them consulting is 'professional problem solving.' Day to day, the job is about learning absolutely as much as you can about a situation, and using that knowledge to help your client make the right decisions and put their best foot forward. Consulting, and especially consulting at WMP, gives you an opportunity to both learn from and advise business leaders and C-level executives from day 1. (Yes, you read that right.. advising C-suite clients from day 1!!).. The work is not easy, but the outcomes are so legitimate and rewarding that the effort constantly comes with excitement."
Max McAuley
"At West Monroe, our mission is to build the next generation of leaders, which I see every day in the opportunities and the encouragement I’m given to step into new roles on my projects. As a consultant, you will be put into situations that will stretch you – dive into a new industry, present to senior executives, work on a new technology platform – but you will always have a team that has your back and is committed to your success. Every project has given me the chance to learn from new coworkers and clients and develop lasting relationships, all of which has made consulting at West Monroe a rewarding (and always fun) experience! Culture at west monroe
It's not easy to build community at consulting firms, where many employees are travelling to client site Monday-Thursday. At some firms, it's the norm to be out of the office for weeks at a time. At West Monroe, we make a point to be in the office on Fridays. In fact, we look forward to it. Fridays are an opportunity to attend Internal Trainings, connect with colleagues, or grab a beer in our kitchen. WMP works towards building a community that encourages connectivity, in an industry where it is not uncommon to become removed.
Once a month, the office gets together for an internal happy hour, otherwise known as 4 O’Clock Rocks! These are often themed and a great chance to catch-up with co-workers.
There will be a number of training opportunities available to you upon joining West Monroe - from internally lead info sessions, to week-long bootcamps, we’re committed to helping our employees achieve continuous growth.
We look forward to Fridays at West Monroe, and not just because it means the weekend has arrived! It’s common to see co-workers catching up over coffee after a week on the road- we foster connectivity by remaining engaged through building and maintaining working relationships.
One of the best parts about WMP is the comradery formed within the new hire and intern class.
Ping Pong is a huge part of or culture. Most offices you visit will usually have games going on throughout the day
We decided that it's not just enough to do well as a firm, you have to do good. We want to give back to the community that enables the success of the firm to happen.

As a firm, we commit
TALENT
TREASURE
TIME
What do we mean by that? West Monroe dedicates 1% of our time and our talent to pro bono projects- As for the treasure- we donate 1 percent of our firm's profit to a variety of causes. Every week, employees nominate a charitable they're passionate about — he or she walks around the office with a denim-covered bucket, the "Jeans Bucket," collecting contributions. West Monroe then matches the pot- we've raised as much as $28,000 in a single day.
NATIONAL DAY OF CHANGE
As a firm, we commit 1% of our Time, 1% of our Talent, 1% of our Treasure.
What do we mean by that? West Monroe dedicates 1% of our time and our talent to pro bono projects- As for the treasure- we donate 1 percent of our firm's profit to a variety of causes. We also encourage our employees to raise internal awareness about charities they are passionate about. We’ve hosted internal fundraisers at the firm where WMP matches dollar for dollar, and we’ve raised as much as $28,000 in a single day!”
In 2011 we launched the Fischer Global Service Fellowship Program.
Our fellowship program supports our employees’ philanthropic and humanitarian interests with an extended three to six month compensated leave. From working towards water sustainability in Nicaragua, to promoting IT literacy in Cambodia, West Monroe has sent Fischer Fellows to all corners of the globe to make a lasting impact on the community. This program has given us an even deeper sense of purpose and motivation to do the best work possible in and outside of the office. West Monroe has always been a community of driven, creative, and curious people, but it is our social good efforts especially that have brought out the compassion and loyalty in all of us.
National Day of Change
On June 1, we set aside consulting for a day to allow all our employees to participate in our 3rd annual “National Day of Change.” NDOC demonstrates our commitment to giving back to the communities where our people live and work. This year was bigger and better than ever as it is the first year we dedicated a workday to include all employees in the effort! Spearheaded by our Chief Charity Officers, every single West Monroe employee was "staffed" at a service site for a day.

West Monroe’s culture supports the concept of work-life integration. We are encouraged to bring our full selves to work, owning our career by incorporating what we love into our daily work routine.
Career Equity is something we take seriously at West Monroe. We understand the importance of developing the individuals that make up our firm on both a personal and professional level. Here are some ways in which we demonstrate the importance of Career Equity:
CareeR Advisor
Every employee is assigned a career advisor who serves as their manager.
annual reviews
Once a year, employees complete a self-review based on their progress towards achieving their goals which they then discuss with their Career Advisor.
3 year letter
West Monroe encourages everyone to create a 3 year letter. This allows people to think long-term about their personal and professional goals.
creating goals
We pursue continuous growth by setting goals and discussing them annually with our Career Advisor.
training opps
There are many opportunities to attend internal training sessions at WMP - this provides a chance to learn from peers and broaden your toolkit.

When I was interviewing for jobs during undergrad, West Monroe touted the opportunities that came from working at a small, fast growing company. 7 years and several promotions later I can vouch that the environment and culture fosters challenging opportunities for young consultants that develop skills and take on leadership opportunities. With so many mentors and leaders at WMP who benefited from this themselves, this commitment to growing our young consultants is an engrained part of our culture even as we’ve grown.
Founded in 2013, the Chiefs program was created to empower employees to make West Monroe a more fun, energized, and collaborative workplace. Our Chiefs program creates a unique opportunity to unite co-workers through a shared interest by participating in a number of events. West Monroe's culture empowers our new hires- it's a chance to get involved and make an impact right off the bat. We encourage our new hires and interns to join a Chiefs Committee, or even start their own!

Looking back over my 10+ years at West Monroe, one of the best decisions I ever made was “accepting the challenge” in being one of the first interns at WMP ever and continuing my career, thereafter. But it was time on campus that helped prepare me for the success I have experienced, by focusing on learning a large breadth of content quickly, sharpening my critical thinking skills, building relationships and collaborating with my peers, and getting the real-world experience through various project and extra-curricular activities.

West Monroe’s presence as a mid-sized firm attracts market recognition, yet allows me to contribute meaningful work… even as a younger consultant! I have been given opportunities to create content for and present to clients from the get-go, which is definitely not the industry norm for someone in the early stages of their consulting career. Having a firm-wide culture where peers and project managers believe in your potential, and help you to achieve it, is one of my favorite parts about working for West Monroe.
WMP’s size and entrepreneurial spirit provide young professionals with challenging and unique opportunities they won’t find at other firms. We take pride in enabling consultants to take on meaningful responsibilities early in their career, while ensuring they have the support and mentorship required to succeed. Your career growth and development at WMP starts on Day 1, as we view building the next generation of leaders not only as a priority, but as an obligation
Continuing to learn and gain new experiences was important to me in my first job out of college. My choice to work at West Monroe not only provided me with the learning opportunities I was seeking, but also a network of talented people who have become my great friends. I can honestly say West Monroe has delivered beyond my expectations as a career choice and I am glad to have started my career here!
Accepting the Challenge at West Monroe has allowed me to grow as a professional as well as an individual with the opportunities afforded to consultants – client experience, mentor/peer relationships, business development opportunities, and being a part of the company culture. I think it’s an experience unlike any other in our industry and has made me extremely proud to say that I work at WMP.
Although I interned at several different companies, there was something special about my summer at West Monroe, and I couldn’t imagine starting my career anywhere else. Ten years later, I have been exposed to so many opportunities and have gotten to choose my own adventure. I don’t think there is another organization that could have supported me and challenged me in the ways West Monroe has.
